The Upper Dales Family History Group (UDFHG) is a family history society that covers Swaledale, Arkengarthdale and Wensleydale, in North Yorkshire, and their tributary valleys. Founded in October 2000, the group is a branch of the Cleveland, North Yorkshire and South Durham Family History Society〔(Cleveland, North Yorkshire and South Durham Family History Society )〕 – known locally as ‘the Cleveland Society’. It is also affiliated with The Friends of the Dales Countryside Museum.〔(The Friends of the Dales Countryside Museum )〕 The UDFHG aims to support those members whose ancestors had their roots in Wensleydale and Swaledale (within the Yorkshire Dales). == Meetings == The group holds regular monthly meetings,〔(Meetings of the Upper Dales Family History Group )〕 with speakers on a variety of topics of interest to genealogists, at various locations within its region. These meetings are for both those members living locally and for visitors to the area. It also runs periodic genealogical computer workshops throughout the year. The group supports an extremely active member-only e-mail forum, which includes correspondents from all parts of the world as well as local members. It also produces and sells the "Bishopdale Booklets" which consist largely of copies of Census returns from 1841 to 1901 from many of the villages and towns in the Upper Dales. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Upper Dales Family History Group」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
